The challenge is not to stop the workings of the mind, even if they set us up for failure, sadness, anxiety, disappointment, frustration.
Rather it is to be able to observe these habits and tendencies without taking them in to account for the level of success, happiness, peace, and fulfillment we perceive in ourselves.
For it is in being, before the arising of any perception or circumstance, that we are complete and may more masterfully appreciate and engage the true nature of every experience we materialize.
